In 1999 a group of concerned believers from various churches felt a need to have a place where those who were facing the problems of pregnancy could go. A board of directors was formed and council was sought from other pregnancy centers and the Foothill Pregnancy Center came into existence. Through diligent fund raising and generous gifts by those concerned in the community a building has been obtained and the center is now functioning. Some of their services include:
Parenting Classes - Teaching those with young children or those about to give birth, how to be good parents. Part of the training is in the practical care of the child.
Bible Studies - These bible studies are designed to help those who are recovering from an abortion or those who are dealing with an unexpected pregnancy.
Referrals - Giving the proper information to the clients and referring them to the proper agency for the particular help that they need. There is a great network of agencies in the Tuolumne County area that help with the needs of those who are homeless or have been abandoned by their parents.
