Bob and Jeanne are both from Nebraska farm families who were active in Evangelical Free Churches.
They both put their faith in Jesus for salvation as children and in high school and college made further commitments to serve him.
They met at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln campus where Jeanne got a BS in Elementary Education (1971)
and Bob got a BS in Electrical Engineering (1972). Involvement in InterVarsity Christian Fellowship and attendance of
Urbana conferences strengthened their interest in intercultural missions.
They were married June 10, 1972 and have three grown children.
After several years of work and further education they were accepted by the Evangelical Free Church of America as missionary canditates
to the Philippines. Bob did an internship at Black Lake Bible Conference near Olympia Washington while they did support raising and
they arrived in the Philippines in January of 1979 to start learning the Cebuano language.
Their work from 1979 to 2001 was mostly related to administration duties and helping on three church planting teams in central and
southern Philippines. From 2003 to present they have been part time teachers at the Evangelical Theological College of the Philippines
in Cebu city. Bob has taught classes in Evangelism and Church Growth and Jeanne taught classes in English and Counseling.
They have also participated actively in the churches they attend.
In recent years Bob has had various additional roles in leadership, strategy and mentoring and Jeanne has also led children's
outreach, student summer teams and teaching missionary children. Future plans include continued teaching and leadership responsibilities.
